What we hold, and why

Privacy

Last updated 28 September 2026

We ask for the least we can. We do not sell your data, and we do not build a profile of you to sell a room back to you at a higher price.

1 · What we collect

When you search

The city and dates you type. We do not need an account and we do not ask for one.

When you book

The guest name, an email address, a phone number for the hotel, and your payment details. Payment details go straight to our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.

Automatically

Ordinary server records: an IP address, a browser type, the pages opened. We use them to keep the site working and to find faults.

2 · Why we hold it

3 · Who we pass it to

Only those who need it to make the stay happen: the hotel you booked, the supplier that holds the room, and our payment provider. Each is bound to use it for that purpose only.

We do not sell your data, rent it, or hand it to advertisers.

4 · How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. Search history is kept only as long as your visit. Ask us to delete anything we are not legally obliged to hold, and we will.

5 · Cookies

We use the minimum: a cookie to remember your last search while you are on the site, and basic analytics to count visits. No advertising cookies, and no tracking of you across other websites.

6 · Maps and photographs

Maps and street imagery are served by Google, and hotel photographs come from the hotel or its supplier. When a map loads, Google receives the ordinary information any website visit sends it. Their terms apply to that part.

7 · Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask for a copy in a portable form. Write to privacy@sleepntrip.com and we will answer within 30 days.

8 · Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection and access to booking data is limited to the people who handle bookings. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects you, we will tell you promptly and plainly.

9 · Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10 · Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on the site before the change takes effect.
